Mett-Bio Metallurgical Testing and Services has in-house developed washers and crevice formers, complying with the ASTM G48 standard.
Tests are performed in our ISO 17025:2017 NABL accredited lab under constant supervision and expert laboratory personnel’s.
Test methods as per ASTM G150-18 /ASTM G 48-11(2020) induces pitting and crevice corrosion in a material to measure susceptibility of material towards pitting and crevice.
This test has six unique methods described as:
Method A: Ferric Chloride pitting test
Method B: Ferric Chloride Crevice Test
Method C: Critical pitting temperature test for nickel base and chromium bearing alloys.
Method D: Critical Crevice temperature test for nickel base and chromium bearing alloys.
Method E: Critical pitting temperature test for Stainless steels.
Method F: Critical Crevice temperature test for Stainless steel.
